I walked 3.94 miles earlier this evening. Had I known I was so close to the 4 mile mark, I would have kept walking. The temperature was perfect-- 78 degrees. Walking provides me with the perfect time to think. My mind wandered all over the place until I settled on Hollywood, and I thought about all the famous people that have died recently:Michael Jackson, Farrah Fawcett, Ed McMahon, Billy Mays, and Steve McNair. With the exception of Ed McMahon (maybe), their lives were cut way too short. Heart attacks, murder, and cancer claimed their lives, and I couldn't help but think of my own mortality, and the lives of those closest to me. I can't say that I am fearful of death itself, but rather, I worry about dying too soon. Weird thoughts, I know, but that's what flickered around my brain as I walked. I was reminded that it feels good to be alive and it's important to take care of my body, because as we all know, we are only given one chance at that.
On to more pleasant thoughts...27 more days until I leave for Spain! Yeah!
Why Are You Walking? Good question!
Let me "Walk" you Through It...
